In the early springtime there are few tourists from outside the state traveling around in Alaska. Most Alaska vacation and tourist destinations have yet to open and many of the state and federal tourist stops are still closed by snow. This shouldn't deter you from considering Alaska in the months of March and April from your spring vacation plans.

And if your a local, it's time to open up those shutters and soak in some of this wonderful sun by spending a lazy day along any of the Scenic Alaska Drives that are in their transition from the frozen northern winter to our fabulous Alaskan summers. And you might just want to take a camera along to record the transition of springs triumphs over last winters destiny.
